‘He was going to throw my partner off the balcony! I acted quickly. I put my foot on the back of his knee and brought him down. One of his mates lined up my partner for a king hit. Just before he swung, I right-hooked him in the jaw and knocked him to the floor. After we’d finally thrown them out, I got a mop and bucket and cleaned up the blood, hair and teeth that were left.’
It’s not pretty, but it needs to be done, and Little Fist knows how to do it. She knows when to strike and when to talk, when to walk away and when to get involved. Security work is as much about judgement as it is muscle-power, and Little Fist uses both with extraordinary skill.
Told with freshness, humour and honesty, the true story of this female bouncer will open your eyes to the seamier side of a good night out. Read along as Little Fist deals with violent and sexist patrons, crazy co-workers and the consequences of falling in love on the job.
Donna worked as a bouncer for many years. Donna lives with her husband Phil ( yes the love of her life), and their crazy Jack Russell. Donna is currently working on her second book, Self-Protection for Women.
Donna and her husband have recently travelled to Canada and plan more training and travel trips for the future.
