What if your parents held a dark  secret for a long, long time, that if you knew, would irreversibly change the place you hold for yourself in the world?

This happened to Andrew, a musician, living happily in Broken Hill, New South Wales, with his partner Julia, and young son, Ben. A surprise revelation by his recently widowed mother, Rose, sets off a chain of chaotic events as Andrew searches for answers, which leave a young tourist dead on the side of the road in the harsh Australian Outback.

JM Agius takes us on a journey of one family across Australia, starting in Perth, where as a young mother, Rose reaches the end of her tether and help comes too late. This is a story of love, loyalty, and the struggles of living with imperfection.

 

 

About the Author

JM Agius lives in the beautiful Adelaide Hills with her husband. She has a background in occupational therapy. She is surrounded by an amazing family spanning five generations. She loves spending time with family and friends and especially enjoys exploring the Australian outback. If she is not out adventuring, you will find her at home, pretending to be a gardener, or in the kitchen experimenting with her own (not very successful) recipe adaptations.
