Nages |
These poems were written over a period of 40 years, many
being personal and influenced by the author's life
experiences. Some border on feelings that the reader may
hopefully find echoes in solitude, melancholy, sadness,
joy, love, wonderment and playfulness.
Many were written with tracing influences from Thomas
Hood, Oliver Goldsmith, John Keats, Coleridge, Tennyson,
Auden, Rossetti, T.S. Eliot, Dylan Thomas, Frost and a few
from ancient Tamil poetry.
“You can find poetry in your everyday life,
your memory, in what people say on the bus,
in the news, or just what’s in your heart.”
– Carol Ann Duffy
