This volume explores the Sufi mystic path of beauty and love that emerged during the eleventh and twelfth centuries in Central Asia through the verses of the poet Omar Khayyam.
Wide Ocean (dharma name) has had a longstanding interest in Buddhist philosophy and metaphysics as well as other streams of Indian and East Asian philosophy. In his twenties he practiced Zen meditation in Zen halls in Korea and Japan under a number of different Zen masters. In 1996 on a trip to India he met his teacher, Vimala Thakar. Since then he has maintained an “open” approach to life and living.
