March 11 Syndrome |
Johnny West |
Eddie is a young French man living happily in Tokyo — spending his time on manga and anime, and more recently playing Internet poker. But when the March 11 Tohoku earthquake strikes Japan, his life is turned upside down. As aftershocks continue to hit Japan, Eddie falls into the tangled webs of the Chinese and Korean mafia. He is threatened by the potent mixture of love, sex and betrayal. Will his love for Kanako, a young Japanese girl, be his salvation? Or will be just another curse?
Johnny West is a long-time social observer and critic in North East Asia. His previous work “Mimi Tokyo Paris” became a cult novel in Shibuya in the spring of 2011. He currently lives between Sydney and Tokyo.
