Mayhem and Madness |
Kathleen Collier |
Sandy’s life topples into mayhem when she wakes up next to Jake after a boozy night out. Jake is gorgeous, a world-champion surfer, and absolutely, totally off-limits. How the hell did she get herself into this mess?
Her life is crazy enough already. Her boss is having a mid-life crisis and driving the office bonkers. Her best friend is a closet transvestite and hides his outlandish outfits at Sandy’s. Worst of all is Nanna – gambling at the cop station, terrorising hairdressers, and hooking Sandy up with a stream of unsuitable dates. It’s enough to drive a girl loony!
In all this madness, Jake and his insanely hot body are just too much to think about. But when Jake lands a job as a motivational speaker at her workplace and moves in with her, Sandy’s life tumbles even deeper into a whirlpool of chaos and she tries desperately to land back on solid ground.
If only they didn’t have such good sexual chemistry…
Kathleen Collier writes laugh-out-loud contemporary stories, in moments snatched from a busy work life and being a soccer mum. She grew up on a farm amongst a menagerie of four-legged characters, including a pig who thought he was a guard-dog and a Shetland pony who drank beer. She has two quirky cats and lives in Sydney with her family. ‘Mayhem and Madness’ is her first novel.
