Sahaja means that which is natural or spontaneous. Sahaja first found expression in India towards the end of the first millenium CE. It is a tantric approach to life and living, and to finding fulfulment in the midst of the vicissitudes of daily life.
Wide Ocean (dharma name) has had a longstanding interest in Buddhist philosophy and metaphysics as well as other streams of Indian and East Asian philosophy. In his twenties he practiced Zen meditation in Zen halls in Korea and Japan under a number of different Zen masters. In 1996 on a trip to India he met his teacher, Vimala Thakar. Since then he has maintained an “open” approach to life and living.
