Seagull is based on the true story of a modern day Buddhist miracle.
Set against the backdrop of the end of the war in Vietnam, it follows the life of a thirteen-year old girl as she faces the challenges that immediately affect her and her family. It spans over a decade of struggles which will resonate with those who were living in Vietnam at the time and those across the world who watched the events unfold. It’s a familiar story to many who found themselves in her situation, adapting to a new government that brought with it dramatic changes resulting in thousands of its citizens fleeing the country. It is a sometimes sad but incredibly inspiring story of how one woman, against the odds, emerges triumphant.
