About the Author

Farnaz Zirakbash migrated to Australia from Iran and built a career as a sociologist and university lecturer. She is passionate about teaching, research, and supporting students in their learning journeys.
Alongside her academic work, Farnaz found joy in writing stories for children. Through her animal-centred narratives, she teaches children about the power of love, kindness, and resilience.
Inspired by her beloved dogs, André and Shadow, her stories highlight the transformative magic of love and aim to bring comfort and hope to families facing challenges.
