Chinese by Numbers presents the ultimate method to find Chinese characters fast. It does some things that no other Chinese reference book has ever tried.
With more characters and its unique features it is the salvation of any person reading Chinese and frequently looking up new characters.
What makes it so special?
> It includes nearly 8000 entries so you can be sure that if the character exists it is almost certainly in this book. Most dictionaries have only about half that so you could be looking up rare characters that aren’t even listed in them!
> The characters are presented in a unique way that represents the character’s commonness or rarity via its font size. You know at a glance if the character is an important or rarely-used character.
> Each character has a unique entry number making it quick to find in the body of the text.
> Most of all it has an ingenious method for finding characters using any part of the character. No more struggling with radicals and stroke counts, any part of the character can be used as a lookup.
And you can use your knowledge of the most simple characters to help you quickly find the complex ones.
> You can even join two parts together and search for them in combination.
With this book you can find a character and its meaning in seconds! It is truly magic. You should try it and you will keep it beside you whenever you are studying Chinese. This book is an essential aid for anyone learning to read Chinese characters.
