A REELY LONG WALK
Sam wasn’t for walking dogs when he could also sleep in,
But the yappers persisted with an almighty din,
So with the longest fish pole,
They got out for their stroll,
As Sammy laid back – and then reeled ‘em in.
Let it no longer be maligned as the red-headed stepchild of the snoberati, for the limerick is beloved by fine folk everywhere.
A tonic to lift the spirits and, mercifully, not always politically correct.
A welcome offering of new limericks from the mysterious Dr X, author of ‘The Antidotes to Modern Living’ and ‘What Johnno Did Next’.
In a world gone mad, the enigmatic Dr X may well be the best hope we have, to get our ‘self’ out of the dissatisfied mire we find ourselves in. No one is really sure who the good Dr X is, but as our mysterious sage observes “sometimes the question is better than the answer”. Just be thankful that Dr X walks among us.
