A blue collar gospel story
The unavoidable question!
Life can be lived two ways.
One way is to walk with God.
The other way is to walk without Him.
Which way do YOU walk?
‘U turn to Jesus’ is the nuts and bolts story of Bull, an
ordinary bloke completely oblivious to both the question
and the consequences of the choice.
True belonging is all about being reconnected. It
is an inborn need in all of us.
Struggling to find a way out of his malaise and lost, like
so many of us on the road to nowhere, this is a step by
step account of how Bull came to recognise and understand
that without changing direction, he would never find true
belonging.
Why?
Because, put simply, without stopping and turning around,
he would never know the one he truly belonged to.
West Australian Christian author, Wayne Leslie Sorrell,
was born in 1959. The eldest of four children, he grew up
in the southern suburbs of Perth and entered the
blue-collar workforce in 1976.
A father of three children, Wayne’s enduring struggle to
understand life’s meaning, coupled with his long standing
passion for the written word, led to reams of scratchings
being stuffed into an old leather Gladstone bag once
belonging to his grandfather.
His eBook, ‘U turn to Jesus’, interweaves those
scratchings into the story of Bull, a young man with empty
eyes desperately seeking a way out of his malaise.
In 2014, motivated by seeing lives transformed through the
Gospel, he established mentalflush.com
His poem, ‘God’s Bridge’ along with short stories like
‘The Lady with Two Hearts’ and ‘Stolen’ have seen
thousands of people visit the website to rekindle their
frame of mind with the truth which is the Gospel of Jesus
Christ.
