A Change of Heart
Anxiety – a toxic fire which burns in the belly and fills
the head with billowing plumes of stress.
Never before has dread smeared itself across the minds of
so many, and never before have so many yearned to be set
free from its stench.

Scripture to show us all that to be constantly striving
for a trouble-free mind through the blood, sweat, and
tears of our own efforts, is in truth an act of futility.
Our Father’s plan is not for us to struggle in vain to
change our inner lives, but for both our inner and outer
lives to be changed through the saving grace of
our Lord Jesus Christ and the supernatural, sanctifying
power of the Holy Spirit.
The primary place this change takes effect is within the
heart – not the physical heart, but the spiritual heart.

upholds the soul – nourishing, nurturing, sustaining, and
supporting all aspects of our wellbeing.

About the Author
West Australian Christian author W. L. Sorrell was born
in 1959. Growing up in the southern suburbs of Perth, he
entered the blue-collar workforce in 1976. Married, with
three children, he continues to earn his living in the
plumbing and construction industry, mirroring the
‘hands-on’ work ethic of his beloved parents, Heather and
John Leslie Sorrell.
Inspired by the Gospel, and having experienced first-hand
the saving grace of Christ, he established his website mentalflush.com
in 2014 – its sole aim to lead people away from their
dispiritedness into the outstretched arms of Jesus.
Freely received, and freely given, the collection of
teachings, poems, and short stories has seen thousands of
people visit the website to rekindle their frame of mind
with the truth of who it is we really are.
In 2018, his widely read eBook, U TURN TO JESUS
was re-published, followed shortly thereafter by U
TURN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.
